The easiest
way to stretch that printing dollar is by simply setting your printer
default to print Black & White. If you need to print
something out in color, you just select that option when you’re printing
that specific item. Most people don’t realize that color printers
use ALL colors to print “black and white.” That’s right, if your printer
is set to print color and you print an item that’s just black and white,
all colors are used to make that black image. Setting your default
to B/W causes the printer to ONLY use the black cartridge to print
the item…saving your color inks for when you really need them! Another
easy way to save money on the black ink is by printing using “Quick
Print” or “Draft” setting for items that don’t need the darkest of
black ink – the printing produces a lower resolution item using less
ink (not as dark). |
